Displacement

August 28, 2008

Last night I was writing an email to the sound of bagpipes coming from somewhere outside and it all seemed very natural until I thought, hey I don’t live in Scotland anymore! Weird how this kind of thing happens to me frequently. Out of place faces, sounds and sights. A sure sign of a nomad if there ever was one.

How many countries have you lived in? I think it’s wonderful that you’ve traveled as much as you have.

(I was wrapped up in my lousy life and didn’t feel like writing, sigh. Thanks though ^^) Good god 11! Wow. You really are a nomad o_O How long do you usually stay in a place (average)? I’d ask which country you liked best but I’m thinking that you just loved something in every place you’ve lived in. :)

hmm, i’ve moved pretty much every year, though between cities as often as between countries. you’re right, i couldn’t really tell you my favourite country at this time. i’m really still trying to find my feet…
