I’m back in France today, after a seven and a half hour ride that’s usually six. But a bunch of funloving vandals damaged the fast-train tracks, so we were rerouted to the regular ones and pretty much crawled the rest of the way home. I saw some people walking a dog and they moved faster than us. Anyway, it was good practise for my flight in two weeks’ time –in terms of travel time, I mean, not travel speed…
The blue mountains around Valence (which I had ample time to contemplate this time around) brought this song to mind. Stupid, really, but such a classic:

Oh and today I saw an African juggler at the market, performing his routine while balancing a fish bowl on his head –with actual goldfish in it! Too cool, I’d have taken his picture if I didn’t have my hands full (shopping, you know…).
